Refine with a different profile
Your profile sets one default voice for everything. But some cards need their own — a “Friendly Slack” card that’s casual with emoji, or a card that always writes in another language. Any card can override the global profile and language, just for itself.
1. Open the card and its overrides
Open a card from the popover (click its row, or create a new one). In the card editor, click the gear button at the top-right — “Override global settings for this card.” The gear is filled when overrides are on, outline when off.
2. Turn on the override
In the Card Overrides panel:
- Toggle Override global settings for this card on. The fields below become editable.
- Profile (tone, style, audience) — write this card’s own voice, e.g. “Casual and upbeat, like a message to a teammate. Emoji welcome.”
- Language — set a specific output language for this card if it differs from your default.
There’s also a copy button that prefills these fields from your current global settings, so you can start from your default and tweak.
3. Save
Click Done to apply the override to the card’s draft, then Save in the card editor to persist it.
From now on, that one card refines with its own profile and language, while all your other cards keep using the global default. Turn the toggle back off any time to return the card to the default profile.
When to use overrides vs. a new profile: change your global profile when you want the new voice everywhere; use a card override when only that one action should sound different.
