Change your keyboard shortcut

The global shortcut is what you press — after selecting text in any app — to open Refiner-AI’s floating menu. It’s ⌘O by default, but you can set whatever feels natural and doesn’t clash with your other apps.

Change it

1. Open Refiner-AI from the menu bar and click Menu → User and App Profile to open Settings.
2. Find the Global shortcut section — it shows your current combination.
3. Click Change Shortcut…. A Record Shortcut dialog appears.
4. Press the key combination you want. It must include at least one modifier — ⌘, ⌥, ⌃, or ⇧. The combo shows live as you press it.
5. Click OK.

The new shortcut takes effect immediately — no need to restart the app.

Note: The shortcut is saved the moment you click OK in the recorder, even if you then close Settings with Cancel.

Tips

• Pick something with a modifier you rarely use elsewhere (⌥ combos are often free).
• If a combo seems to do nothing, another app or a system shortcut may already own it — try a different one.
