Create a Refiner card

A Refiner card is a saved instruction that rewrites your selected text and replaces it in place — “Make Professional”, “Make Concise”, “Fix grammar”, whatever you need. Build one once and fire it any time from the floating menu.

1. Open the popover and add a card

Click the wand icon (✨) in the menu bar to open Refiner-AI. Make sure the Refiner tab is selected, then click the + button at the top-right of the card list and choose New Refiner Card.

2. Give it a title and an instruction

The card editor opens with two fields:

• Title — what the card is called in your menu (e.g. “Make Professional”).
• Instruction — what the AI should do to your text (e.g. “Rewrite this to sound polished and professional, keeping the original meaning.”).

Write a clear, specific instruction — it’s the prompt the AI applies to whatever you select.

3. Save

Click Save. Your new card appears in the Refiner list and in the floating menu, ready to use. To edit it later, just click its row.

Tip: Drag cards to reorder them. The first few of each kind are the ones that show in the floating menu (5 by default — adjust this in your profile settings).
